Bike Rodeo

For the last several years, during Rodeo Days, the Police Department has held a Bike Rodeo for Preschool thru 6th grade children of Burlingame.  The Officers also talk to the kids about bike safety.  Many bicycles and bike accessories, purchased through donations are given away as prizes.

Secret Santa

Another annual event is the Children's Christmas.  The Police Department, through donations, delivers Christmas gifts to area children.  Can you imagine the excitement when they open their front door on Christmas morning and find a big box filled with gifts from Santa.   Here are the statistics for the last few years

1999 they delivered gifts to 32 children from 11 families.

2000 they delivered gifts to 23 children from 8 families.

2001 they delivered gifts to 22 children from 8 families.

2002 they delivered gifts to 28 children from 11 families.

2003 they delivered gifts to 31 children from 9 families.

2004 they delivered gifts to 33 children from 13 families.
